On Thursday, 10 October 2024, Autoridade Nacional dos Minerais, I.P.  handed over two (2) Mineral Permits along with an Environmental License to Exatomor Resources, Lda for sand and gravel extraction. 

ANM, I.P. also handed over one (1) Extension of an Environmental License to Timor General Development, Lda for the extraction of gravel.

These companies have complied with the requirements for Mineral Permit procedures set forth under Law no.12/2021 of 30 June, on Mining Code and for Environmental Licensing procedures under Decree Law 39/2022 of 8 June, the first amendment of Decree Law No. 5/2011 of 9 February on Environmental Licensing. Both the Mineral Permits and the Environmental Licenses were issued for the following two (2) Concession Areas:

1. Exatomor Resources, Lda: River Uaimui, Aldeia Tequinomata, Suco Tequinomata, Posto Administrativo Laga, Municipio Baucau

2. Timor General Development, Lda: Aldeia Mota Quic, Suco Hera, Posto Administrativo Cristo Rei, Municipio Dili

These Companies had shown their commitments to conduct Mining in compliance with applicable laws and legislations in Timor-Leste. Moreover, the companies as Holder of Mineral Rights will ensure good collaborations with Regulatory Authority in carrying Mining Activities.
