On March 17, 2025, Ambassador Roberto Soares received a courtesy visit by Mr. Rafael Danilson Magno de Araújo, President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Minerals Authority, I.P. (ANM) and Mr. Addo Wityasmoro, Founder and CEO of PT Genco Energi Nusantara Indonesia.
The visit aimed to discuss partnerships and cooperation in the minerals sector in Timor-Leste, seeking support and assistance from the embassy to facilitate investment opportunities, as well as promote potential investors and economic relations between Timor-Leste and Indonesia.
The meeting took place in the Laline Embassy's meeting room in a very friendly and productive atmosphere.
