Baucau, 26th September 2024 – The Autoridade Nacional dos Minerais,I.P. (ANM) conducted a formal ceremony in Salaun Paroquial, Laga to issue Exploration and Evaluation Licenses to Estrella Resources Limited, in Join Venture (JV) with state owned company, Murak Rai Timor, E.P., to initiate metallic minerals exploration activities across designated concession areas within the Post Administrative regions of Baucau Villa, Laga, Quelicai, and Venilale with following details:
1- MEL2024-DA-ZB-001
2- MEL2024-DA-ZB-002
3- MEL2024-DA-ZB-003
4- MEL2024-DA-ZB-004
The approved exploration program and budget include a range of critical activities such as geological and geophysical field mapping, laboratory work and analysis, and a strong commitment to enhancing local content. These efforts mark a significant step forward in the sustainable development of Timor-Leste's natural resources sector.
The ceremony was attended distinguish Members of Parliament, representatives of the President of the Baucau Municipality; representatives of veterans, FDTL, PNTL Baucau, PNTL Laga, Administrator Post Administrative of Baucau Villa, Administrator Post Administrative of Venilale, Administrator Post Administrative of Quelicai, Administrator Post Administrative of Laga, BNCTL, institutions under the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, members of the national media and other distinguished guest.
