Autoridade Nacional dos Minerais (ANM) handed over three (3) Environmental Licenses Extension with Category B Project

On Tuesday, 13 February 2024, Autoridade Nacional dos Minerais (ANM) handed over three (3) Environmental Licenses Extension with Category B Project to Montana Diak Unip.Lda that engages in Mining Activities. Montana Diak has complied with the requirements for environmental licensing extension procedure set forth under Decree Law no.39/2022, 8th June, on Environmental Licensing. The Environmental Licenses extension is for three different locations of Montana Diak such as:
1. Quarrying of Construction Materials at Aldeia Mota Kiik, Suco Hera, Posto Administrativo Cristo Rei, Municipio Dili;
2. Quarrying of Construction Materials at Aldeia Rembor, Suco Aiteas, Posto Administrativo Manatuto, Municipio Manatuto; and
3. Processing of Construction Materials – Crusher Plant at Aldeia Rita, Suco Maulau, Posto Administrativo Maubisse, Municipio Ainaro.
The Company underlined its commitments to conduct Mining Activities in accordance with the approved Environmental Management Plan (EMP) and in compliance with environmental legislation in Timor-Leste.
