Dili, Timor-Leste – On February 14, 2025, the Autoridade Nacional dos Minerais (ANM) hosted a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with six leading universities in Timor-Leste including Universidade Nacional Timor-Lorosa’e (UNTL), Institute of Business (IOB), Universidade Díli (UNDIL), Universidade Oriental Timor Lorosa'e (UNITAL), Universidade da Paz (UNPAZ), and Dili Institute of Technology (DIT). This collaboration aims to establish a Field Work Study Program that will offer final-year students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the mining sector.
The program is designed to provide students with direct exposure to real-world work in the mining sector, allowing them to engage with industry professionals and apply their academic knowledge in a practical setting.
The MoU signing ceremony marks the beginning of a promising collaboration between the ANM and these esteemed universities, aiming to nurture the next generation of skilled professionals in Timor-Leste's mining industry.
