On Friday, July 12, 2024, Autoridade Nacional dos Minerais, I.P. (ANM) handed over Mineral Permit to four (4) companies and Environmental licenses to three (3) companies that have been involved in Mining Activities, such as Montana Diak, Unipessoal, Lda, King Construction, Lda, Timor General Development Group Co., Lda and AFG Bonuk Unipessoal, Lda.
These companies have complied with the requirements for Mineral Permit procedures set forth under Law no.12/2021 of 30 June, on Mining Code.
1. Montana Diak Unipessoal, Lda, awarded three (3) Mineral Permits to carry out Mining Activities in:
- Aldeia Rita, Suco Maulau Post Administrative Maubisse, Ainaro Municipality.
- Aldeia Rembor, Suco Aiteas, Post Administrative Manatuto, Manatuto Municipality.
- Aldeia Mota Quic, Suco Hera, Post Administrative Cristo Rei, Dili Municipality.
2. King Construction, Lda: awarded one (1) Mineral Permit and Environmental License to conduct Mining Activities in Karau Ulun, Aldeia Lotin, Suco Daisua, Post Administrative Same, Manufahi Municipality.
3. Timor General Development Group Co., Lda: Awarded two (2) Mineral Permit and one (1) Environmental License to carry out Mining Activities in Aldeia Mota Quic, Suku Hera, Post Administrative Cristo Rei, Municipality of Dili.
4. AFG Bonuk Unipessoal, Lda; Awarded one (1) MIneral Permit, including the Environmental License to carry out Mining Activities Aldeia Mota Ikun, Suco Mota Ulun, Post Administrative Bazartete, Municipality Liquica.
These companies are unwavering in their commitment to conducting Mining Activities in strict adherence to the approved Mining Plans and all Applicable Laws and regulations in Timor-Leste. As Mineral Right Holders, the companies pledge to maintain the highest level of cooperation with the regulatory authority."
