The Autoridade Nacional dos Minerais,I.P. (ANM, I.P) proudly represented Timor-Leste at the prestigious Future of Mining Asia conference, held from 17-18 September 2024 at the SGX Centre in Singapore. This two-day event brought together leading figures from the global mining industry, including senior executives, government officials, and investors, to explore new opportunities in Southeast Asia's growing minerals sector.
During the conference, ANM had the opportunity to deliver a comprehensive presentation on “Country Focus: Timor-Leste – Unlocking Mining Development & Investment Opportunities.”
The presentation, delivered by Mr. Rafael, a key representative from ANM, shed light on Timor-Leste’s potential as an emerging mining destination. His remarks emphasized the nation’s vast and largely untapped mineral resources, alongside an evolving investment landscape designed to attract international mining companies. ANM also engaged with several potential investors during the conference, sparking interest in the emerging mining sector of Timor-Leste.
In addition to ANM’s presentation, Timor-Leste’s Ambassador to Singapore, Mr. Alex Tilman delivered welcoming remarks, further reinforcing the country's commitment to fostering international partnerships and supporting foreign investment in the mining sector. The ambassador warmly welcomed participants and invited them to explore the vast opportunities in Timor-Leste.
