On 17 July 2024, Iron Fortune Pty, Ltd. RP as a company which obtained attribution of Exploration and Evaluation License for Mining Activity in Oe-cusse, particularly iha Makelab, area of Taiboku, conducts the cultural ceremony before initiating the Mining Activity in the referred area. Generally, the cultural ceremony is an obligation of the company to fulfill the requirements of the Autoridade Nacional dos Minerais that acts as Regulatory Authority in the mineral sector in Timor-Leste. During the cultural ceremony event, the participation mostly from RAEOA’s Leaders, Lia-Nain (culture person), Community Leaders, Representative of State-Owned Company, Murak Rai Timor., E.P, Autoridade Nacional dos Minerais, Veterans and the Community from the surrounding Taiboku area.
Lia-Nain asks for a bless from the land and the sacred spirit (as Timorese’s beliefs) that the Iron Fortune Pty, Ltd. RP company performs the exploration and evaluation activity will run smoothly and does not face any difficulty. Regional Secretary of RAEOA, on his intervention to the community, “Exploration and Evaluation Activity from the company, appeals for every party to cooperate properly so then it would yield a good outcome”.
Moreover, President of Autoridade Nacional dos Minerais (ANM) underlines that, “Beforehand Exploration and Evaluation License was already attributed to Iron Fortune Company dated 19 April 2024 in Oe-cusse, with objective to identify the mineral resources in the area, also added that, H.E Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources calls to all parties to work together properly with Iron Fortune Company”.
The representative of Iron Fortune Pty, Ltd. RP expressed it is an honor to be a part of today’s cultural ceremony, the most important is the company will work hard in the exploration scientifically in the mineral area, including conforming the requisites based on the applicable regulations. In principle, the Iron Fortune Pty, Ltd. RP Company has a fervent hope that this activity will gain a favorable result and benefit Oe-cusse, especially Iron Fortune Pty, Ltd.
