On Friday, 24th May 2024, Autoridade Nacional dos Minerais (ANM) handed over Environmental and Reconnaissance Permit to state owned company, Murak Rai Timor, E.P. that will be conducting reconnaissance activities for different types of minerals.
MRT has complied with the requirements for Environmental Licensing and Reconnaissance Permit set forth under Decree Law no.39/2022, 8th June and Law No. 12/2021, 30th June on Mining Code. The Environmental License and Reconnaissance Permit covering different locations such as Municipality of Maliana Post Administrative of Bobonaro, Municipality of Covalima Post Administrative of Zumalai, Municipality of Liquiça Post Administrative of Bazartete for the concessions are such as:
1. MRT – Maliana
2. MRT – Ai-Assa
3. MRT – Lepo
4. MRT – Fahilebo
MRT, E.P underlined its commitments to conduct the activities in accordance with the approved proposals, with conditions applied, and in compliance with applicable legislations in Timor-Leste.
Moreover, the company as Holder of Mineral Rights will ensure great collaborations with Regulatory Authority in carrying Mining Activities.
