The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of Timor Leste, represented by the public institutions, Instituto de Geociências de Timor-Leste (IGTL) and Autoridade Nacional dos Minerais (ANM), has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Coordinating Committee for Geoscience Programmes in East and Southeast Asia (CCOP). This MoU symbolizes Timor Leste’s renewed commitment to collaborative development within the geosciences field.
Through this partnership, Timor Leste aims to collaborate closely with other CCOP member countries to further develop its geosciences programs. The agreement focuses on aligning Timor Leste’s geoscience initiatives with regional objectives, fostering knowledge exchange, research, and capacity-development efforts.
